Sunday Meditation

gong 300Shamatha (Calm Abiding) meditation practice, Sunday morning from 9:00 to 11:00

Guided Contemplative Meditation — 2nd and 3rd Sunday from 11:00 to 12:00.

Sunday 9 July from 11:00-12:00 Contemplative Meditation

Loving Kindness: Meditative Exercises in developing compassion for self and others.  We will do three explorations on how to deepen our natural sense of compassion and love.
Facilitated by Steve Burden

Sunday 16 July from 11:00-12:00 Contemplative Meditation
This week is an exploration of “egolessness”, the lack of a solid, permanent self. Neil Kolwey will lead the session. He will say a few things about having a healthy “relative” sense of self in order to function in the world as an adult, but that grasping onto a “solid, absolute” sense of self, which we seem to do sometimes (like when we are upset, triggered) is painful and unnecessary. There is no solid sense of self to be found anywhere. We will explore this in a contemplative meditation and see what insights and experiences it leads to.
