Nalandabodhi Study Curriculum:  The Foundational Buddhism Series

Butter lamps

The first series of classes, covers the basic views of the early schools that under pin the whole of the Buddhist Path including Mahayana and Vajrayana. Topics such as the four noble truths, the 3 trainings of discipline, meditation and wisdom and the 12 Nidanas will be covered in depth. Also covered will be the history of the 2 main schools and their views of indirect and direct realism. These understandings give us insight into what the Buddha himself taught and how it is a blueprint for liberation and realization. We will discuss the 5 skandhas and how they effect our conception of the self.
Ponlop Rinpoche has developed this curriculum to give his students the depth of understanding needed to truly practice and manifest Buddhadharma around the world. The intention is that these classes enhance our study, meditation and daily lives in practical and useful ways. We want the rubber to meet the road!
Date:  Class starts Feb. 4th 2020 and will run 6 to 7 weeks depending how fast we cover the material.
Location: Nalandabodhi Boulder at 100 Arapahoe #6
Cost:  $65 , text is $15
This is a very fun class and we will have time for Q and A and discussion.
