Introduction to Meditation 5-Week Class

Through meditation you come to know and become friends with your mind—you first learn to tame your mind so that later you can train it.

 This 5 week class will introduce the basics of beginning a meditation practice at home. The classes will progress from proper body posture, mindfulness techniques, skill development and working with mind, through support in sustaining a practice at home.

Each class will include time for meditation practice, discussion and reflection. Topics related to meditation and obstacles to meditation will be covered. We will also address questions related to suggested readings from Rebel Buddha by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche.

Facilitators:  Rachel Seely and Meg Miller are senior students of Ponlop Rinpoche and share over 40 years of combined experience with meditation practice and study. Rachel is Co-Director of Nalandabodhi Boulder and Meg is currently the Practice Coordinator. Together they will introduce the essential points of developing or refreshing your meditation practice.
