Study: Hinayana Path and Fruition

7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The Nalandabodhi Path of Study:

The Hinayana Teachings, Path and Fruition

Tuesday evenings, Jan 9 through Feb 20 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM

Path and FlowersBuddhism is not a religion in the usual sense of the word. It is a method of investigation that allows you to work skillfully with the positive potentials and negative energies of your own mind. The Hinayana teachings are the foundation or basis of the Buddhist path and teachings.

In the Nalandabodhi Path of Study, the Hinayana introduces you to Buddhism as a science of mind, or method of investigation. The Hinayana curriculum has two courses: The first course covers the ground or view of Hinayana, and the second covers the Hinayana path and its results.

Nalandabodhi Boulder is offering the second of the two courses, the Hinayana Path and Fruition, starting January 9 and running for 7 weeks on Tuesday evenings. The course shows you how the Hinayana view is applied through practice, and where you will explore techniques of mindfulness, concentration, and insight.  Much of the focus of this section is on meditation — different methods and benefits of meditation.

You are welcome to attend the course without completing the first course.
