Tara Drupchen

6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

October 19th – 21st

Dear members of Nalandabodhi Boulder and friends:

You have been waiting for a schedule of local practice and teaching sessions. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Since this is the first time both for Seattle to webcast and for local centers to follow webcasts with their own schedule adjustments, uncertainties become a natural part of the process.
You are invited to join in fully with the practice. Or you are most welcome simply to come and listen. As Co-director Rachel so beautifully expressed it, “Making a connection to the blessings of Tara through this Sadhana is a powerful way to reconnect with practice and to experience the Vajrayana first hand.”
A  provisional local schedule. We will update as necessary as things evolve over the weekend.
9:30am–11:30am Green Tara Sadhana practice (with Seattle)
Please arrive early prepared to practice—practice begins promptly at 9:30
3:00pm–4:30pm [this time is given for Rinpoche to teach—however, there is no telling which day he will teach or if he will teach at all] (Please note that teachings will be recorded—if Rinpoche teaches on Fri, we can show it at a later time during the weekend.)
7:00pm–9:00pm Green Tara Sadhana practice
Again, please arrive early prepared to practice.

What is a “drupchen”?

Drupchen (Tibetan: སྒྲུབ་ཆེན་ ; literally, “great practice [gathering]” or “great accomplishment [gathering]”) is a traditional format for a practice-intensive retreat in the Vajrayana tradition. The practice of Drupchen is said to bring great benefit to its participants and the communities around them. In this way it is a strong generator of merit, purification, and blessings. It is a powerful method for dispelling obstacles and hindrances for ourselves and our sangha’s dharma activities.
