Green Tara 2

with Mitra Lee Worley
Nalandabodhi Mitra & Professor Emerita of Naropa University

Tara, most beloved and foremost among the feminine Buddhist lineage, can clear away all fears and negative emotions and assist beings in reaching enlightenment. During this program of meditation-in-action, we will combine physical exercises, talks and discussion with Tara meditations. This short Tara practice which was composed by Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche and Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche can help subdue our cowardice, troubles and anxiety and support us in opening our own heart of fearless compassion.

LEE WORLEY, a student of Buddhism for over 40 years, is a senior teacher in the Nalandabodhi and Shambhala traditions. She is part of the Nalandabodhi Mitra Council, a group of Western teachers appointed by Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche. “Mitra” is derived from the Sanskrit kalyanamitra, meaning spiritual friend.

Lee is the author of Coming from Nothing: The Sacred Art of Acting (Turquoise Dragon Press, 2001), and Teaching Presence: Field Notes for Players (Naropa University Press, 2018).
